To answer your question about the 8 amp speed control... i have seen it used with the rimfire motor spinning a 9x3.8 prop and things worked well. We (Jim and I) have a deal with CC and have only used their speed controls to date. During development the other gear was not available so all of our testing was done with CC 10's and AXI 2208/34 w/ 10x4.7 on 2 cell and 10x3.8 on 3 cell packs.
