Getting teady to start assembling DP Ultimate 40
So I gave up waiting for the 120 Ultimate and decided to get the little brother to hold me over till the biggies arrive. I've searched RCU and really only found 2 really good threads on the plane and settting it up.
I'll be doing YSMAN's mod on the location of the elevator servo for better pull-pull geometry. I've got 4 HS 5245's (which will be going into the ailerons of the 120 size if it ever gets here) for the ail, rud, and elev, and an HS 81 on the throtle of a YS .63 FZ.
I saw somebody had a Macs 90 with a flex pipe on it for the muffler... I can't seem to find either of these for the YS 63. How do you like that muffler setup??? What are other people doing with the muffler situation tp keep it clean with minimal cowl cuts?
Another question on the engine is what orientation to go with??? Upside down or on it's side? I like upside down in that it's beter balance wise, but I don't want to have to rip into the cowl too much.
Last question for now is about the supplied engine mount. Do I go with it or should I upgrade?
