Getting teady to start assembling DP Ultimate 40
Thanks jwatwood. I just finished putting the engine in and trimming the cowl. I ended up installing the YS .63 on its side rather than inverted.... That way all that's sticking out of the cowl is the valve cover....... it really came out pretty slick. Actually I'm pretty much finished with everything major as far as assembling. I did the elevator servo under the canopy mod and it really came out nice and clean. The center and outer cabanes all aligned perfectly along with every other screw hole. I've just got to figure out my muffler situation (I think I'm going to end up going with a Mac's 90 degree adapter and a flex pipe), and where I'm going to put the throttle servo (HS 81) which I'm about to go figure out. Then the fuel system and balance and it's ready to fly...... Just need a the weather to cooperate!!!
The only other thing I've been thinking about is the Landing Gear Attachment area needing some reinforcement. Hey Marc, I know you fly yours off grass.... have you had any problems or did you do anything to reinforce??? I fly on [pavement so if it can handle the grass I'm not going to worry.
Thanks for the Pics!! and the advice!!
