Exhaust and Hitec Digis holding it back from flying
YSMAN,
good to hear from you.....I gotta say that mod you did with the elevator servo (I'm pretty sure... if I remember correctly from reading all the threads on this plane that you where the first to post on moving the elevator servo to under the canopy) is quite easy if not easier than the way the book says to do it and really make the pull pull geometry for both the elevator and rudder just right on....quite pleased with that!!
As for my Ultimate I'm still figuring out the exhaust... I think I'm probably going to end up with one of those OS flex pipes for their 70.... But it might be too long. Since I decided to mount the engine on it's side and to counter balance the engine head with the battery I can't see using a Mac's 90.... I think it would have to be a flex pipe with the straight adapter.... I wonder which pipe is more narrow.. The Mac's or the OS? I'll probably end up letting the weights dictate which I go for.
The only other thing holding it back from flying is that my HS 5245's that I have on my rudder and elevator glitch randomly when I'm running them off of a 6 volt system...but smooth as silk on 4.8 volts. I've sent them into Hitec but no word yet. Has anyone else had this problem with Hitec digitals where they glitch or jump on 6 volts???
