Yes, I have tried to hover. I am not skilled at that maneuver in any sense of the work. I have torque rolled the plane purely by accident. I can honestly say that I didn't know what I was doing other than point it up and throttle back to a little less than half throttle.

Because I fall out of it every time, I can't say that I can pull out of the hover vertically. I can say that after the plane breaks ground on the take off run I can point it vertical and it will go straight up and out of sight.

Some of the 3D guys using the OS 50 SX are putting a 12x3 prop on the engine. Look out for the noise.
