Getting teady to start assembling DP Ultimate 40
HighSierraHelis I just heard the valve adjusting mentioned and thought of adjusting the valaves on automobile engines with solid lifters. I always thought was very tedious. I won't worry about these little valves then. I can handle adjusting them 1 or 2 times a year. Have you had any issues with the YS engines causing the fuel tanks to leak?
If I can muster the cash I would love to try a YS .63.
jwatwood I am not any able to hover either quite frankly. Heck I have never tried. I just want to make sure that when I do try the engine won't be my limiting factor, but rather me and my ability to fly. It sounds like the OS 50 will do just fine if need be.
BTW, I previosuly mentioned my ST 60 being possibly too heavy, well the local Post Office, on 2 diffrent scales, weighed it for me at 13.50 oz. The JTEC pitts muffler was another 2.70 oz. I thought 16.20 oz for a .60 size engine was dang good. If this engine still runs I'll likelt use it. It was simply spectacular on my Hobbico Ultimate, absolutely unlimited vertical at just over 1/2 throttle and it weighed nearly 6 lbs. Course it's been on the shelf for 9 years now.
Thanks guys.
