i lived in Houston for 5 years i used to fly off hwy 59 at the saddle back stadium,not sure if it is still there.there was a nice flying park on the way going to the airport if i remember correctly cant remember the name of the park but they had a nice setup for ucontrol and RC.i would however recommend that you at least have AMA insurance.my brother made the mistake of flying in a school yard he crashed into someone's roof it cost ed almost 2k to repair the roof.there are a lot of farms just outside Houston that have dirt runways on them might do some door knocking...i like flying at my clubs field or other fields we visit,it is good to have someone to talk to and watch other flyer's...happy flying
