Default Beechcraft Staggerwing

Very interesting that you should picture the particular Staggerwing. I have a very intimate knowledge of it, as I restored the aircraft from a basket case about 1980-1983. The pictured airplane, NC 18028, serial 147, was the first production D-17S.........I SAID D-17S...........to have the P&W 985 installed.
The airplane is now flying in England, and I am curious as to where you got the photo. It is finished in butyrate dope. I forget the yellow, but the green was an Imron color...bright green, and it has a gold border.

Nick Ziroli is now in the process of designing a D-17S, 1/4 scale, to be flown at next years top gun. I have been giving him info regarding the Stag. I own Doc's Aero Service, Inc. Sandwich IL, and we specialize in the Beech Stag. You may want to wait for his plans to come out.
