Default RE: Joining the AMA

What time is the best to join the AMA?
Prior to the present! [X(]

Actually that is a personal choice. If you join and remain a member it always works out to annual dues. As one that has over 50 years continuous and now a Lifer, I don't make such choices.

I have been flying park and slope for a couple of years now, since I was in High Desert of California I was able to skirt around the many flying sites (My Back Yard) that didn't require a membership and there was nobody around to hit that would sue me.
Sad! you've really missed out on a lot of fine group therapy.

I recently moved back home to Washington State, and it is very difficult to find flying sites here, so I am about to Join a Flying club nearby and of course you have to be an AMA member.

What is the best way to do this?
The best way, IMO, is to fill out an application and remit the applicable dues via snail mail. However you can use the web or whatever you choose. Just because I think Hagen-Diaz (sp?) is the best ice cream doesn't mean I will refuse whatever someone places before me. Same with Bud-Light, or whatever the other guy is buying.
