Default RE: caribbean cruiser

Finally [!] another Caribbean Cruiser [CC] owner speaks up ! I've had the same thought ever since I got mine. Here's my impressions :

1: The stock motors are junk and fried immediately. I replaced mine with Titan E-maxx fan cooled motors, using the optional gears that came with the boat. I opened up [enlarged] the windshield and ducted the airflow to the motors.

2: The boat rips ! The motors get alittle hot [ @ 110 deg F ] but can handle this temp.

3: The boat handles like a slot car, goes fast and corners like it's on rails. The funny thing about this is that it handles so perfectly that
I prefer to run my evil-handling modified Twinstorm so I can experiment with mods to improve the speed and handling.

4: I intend to install a 700sc from OE with a Jeti600, configured for direct drive, to see what the CC can really do. The motor compartment has to be opened up to the second set of mounting rails [ which I think are there for the nitro version] and a mount has to be hand-fabricated.

I intend to start this project in the very near future, and I'll report the results. If there'se any CC owners out there I'd like to hear from you. With some modding, this can be a really cool boat
