Great Planes Reflection formation flying...with PICS!!!!
Well guys,
Tonight we went to our local gym. Three of us here all built the new Great Planes "Reflection" biplane.
After hearing so much about these wonderful planes, we all had to have one.
Tony Stillman, Bill Altman, and myself all arrived at our local high school gymnasium for a night of wild flying pleasure. We were intent on wringing these awesome planes out, and we gave it our best.
The Reflection flys good outdoors, but take it indoors and its a whole other beast. The Reflection is an incredible machine in the "no wind" environment of indoor flying. These planes are so stable and maneuverable, we couldnt resist trying a little......
FORMATION FLYING!!!!
Tony ran out of batteries for his Reflection, but he took his Ikarus Yak up with us.
We were all hovering together in a very tight group formation. Occasionally coming within inches of each other.
The Reflections performed perfectly, and it was an awe inspiring sight seeing all those planes flying at one time in unison.
I compare every plane I fly with a shocky as a base comparison. Ive always been partial to the shockflyers. After flying a Reflection, I have found that it has some unique flying capabilities that far surpass the shockflyers. The reflection will hover very smoothly, and is capable of somethings the shockies just wont do.
Anyway....on to the good stuff. Pictures.....I know you all wanted to see them...so here they are.
Enjoy!!!!
