Actually we recommend the 9x3.8 APC prop. Its on the website. The 9x3.8 seems to be the best option for good performance.
With that prop it will warm a little, but because the motor is not covered by a cowl or anything it gets enough cooling to keep it cooled off fairly well. Ive flown hundreds of flights with mine in that configuration, and its still running great. If you put that configuration in a plane with a cowl, it will get really hot. Ive tried it.
Im trying to get video of one flying up on the website so you guys can see what it will do. The verticals are unreal. Shove some throttle in it, and pull up and the thing will literally climb out of sight quickly.
You could fly it indoors, but flying outdoors will allow you to take full advantage of its performance and capabilities.
