I was thinking of trying a Stihl 044 75cc converted engine on a 35% Lanier Giles 202 and was wondering about how much this engine weighs with the mag. ignition on it. I saw one and it looks heavy. Also wondering about the performance. On to a different engine---My brother in law gave me an engine off an old lawnmower and the measurements of bore and stroke come out to 157cc. The only number I found on the case was 6335. Has Tecumseh on the flywheel. Has a reed valve. I have cut it up enough to weigh a little over 8 lbs. without ignition on it and a Tillotson 304 carb from my carting days. Does anyone have info on the Stihl and has anyone tried to convert the big single Tecumseh. Thanks guys.
