The tape was just for asthetics. I had some lying around, so what the heck. Hinges are Robart size 307 hinge points. 3 per flap. As far as flying is concerned, I don't anticipate being able to fly anytime soon. I showed up at my regular place today (vacant office building with a large parking lot) and there was a fence erected all around the place. I don't have access any more. I spent a few hours driving around trying to find a suitable place, but no luck. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it's quite developed and crowded. My advice to anyone wanting to live here...Don't!!! It's very expensive. Average home price is over $600,000, crazy! Very few open areas in which to fly that are away from people. I did the club thing for a while, but got tired of the fees and rules. Plus it's crowded on weekends too. My company is moving me to Sacramento next month and I'm hoping I can find more open space there. Here's a pic of my flying spot...pardon me, former flying spot. I love Google Earth!
