Some updates for those who are still interested...
I had this model for quite a while now and i'm still satisfied with it's flight performance.
BUT there were a lot of problems regarding the quality of assembly.
-First of all the landing gear mount disintegrated just after the second PERFECT 3 point landing.
-Rebuilt it in no time so this is not a problem anymore
-After a few flights during disassembly i noticed a crack at the wing joint. As it appears no glue was used to keep the balsa sheets together. The only thing keeping the wings in place was the thin glass cloth epoxied on the surface.
-Both sides were properly reinforced by good ol' me again...
-Next to come was some high speed flutter, which resulted in a controlled crash without ailerons.
I used the standard linkage gear supported by the manufacturer which obviously failed. The aileron servos could not stop this flutter though they are some high quality MPX digitals with heaps of holding torque.
-Damage repaired again: rebuilt the fuselage that broke in half and replaced defective gear with something that could withstand the load of high speed flight. (at this point i decided NOT to buy anything from this manufacturer again in my life)
-Just for keeping the "spirit" alive i experienced the engine mount falling to pieces revealing it's inside...
...so i could learn that all the glue is ON the plane not IN it! I mean ablsolutely no sign of adhesive anywhere but visible places.
The only thing keeping the front part together was the covering and the precision cut rabbets.
-Got it fixed too
...now i'm thinkig of sending an invoice to the manufacturer for finishing THEIR work [sm=biggrin.gif]
-Last prob to come was some "hard" 3 point landings when the fuselage broke in half over the landing gear mount.
This could be a result of my previous crash, though i think it was rather a desing flaw not to use some harder wood there.
-Has been reinforced with some plywood...
The plane still flies great, but i think next time i'll build something myself, that will not fall apart by itself...
I'm still hoping this is not the end of the story and i'll keep flying this thing for a while, but believe me it's an annoying pile of balsa and covering.
