Default Gooey Exhaust???

I'm new to the gas engine world. Very new. I had the Nexstar...and had a tragic accident involving the receiver battery dying mid flight. So anyway, I now have the parts to a Nexstar, and have put them all into another plane. Most of this is insignificant, I guess.

The real question is that when the engine is running, there seems to be a lot of goo coming out of the muffler. I say "a lot" because I have never seen ANY gas airplane engine run before...and have no plane engine to compare it to. I own a weed-wacker, and it doesn't do this. Should there be any fluid coming out of the muffler? It's sort of a consistant 'spattering'. Enough where the plane needs to be wiped down after use.

Is this normal?

Thanks!
