yea thats a very good idea, thats how i got into it, i found out my dad used to make them when he was my age. so when he found out i wanted to give it a go he was very supportive, lend me his tools etc (don't take them without asking ). obviously your dad might not be the same but they often like things like that, the kinda things they did when they were young [8D]
