ive only ever used the cen clutch shoes mate, both on the nt16 and on the os18. i did find that i could use a sharp knife to reprofile the shoes and a tiny stretch of the spring to compensate for the wear, would keep me on the road til replacements arrived.

i have heard of the tmaxx clutch spring being used to engage the clutch a little later, supposed to work well, but ive never tried it.
