Jason - I have the H9 Edge (given to me by a friend) and after stripping it down I'd say it is poor at best. Here are the problems:

Lots of joints NOT glued
Cracked bottom longerons
Cracked ribs or parts of ribs MISSING
Scrap balsa shoved and hot glued into spaces where wood did not meet
Right wing servo plate not glued at one corner (very distrubing)
Poor quality of balsa in the wing and aft formers

I could go on and on. Invest the time in a kit or plans is my advice. However, it will get you in the air faster and with less emotional attachment.
