RE: is anyone using a g62 in 29% ultimate
Hi,
I spent 3 months looking for the best biplane and engine combination - I looked at the Great Planes Pitts 1/3 scale ad about a dozen others - I wanted a large model - ARTF - well made - good looking with blistering aerobatic performance.
Power wise I wanted reliability, easy to find spares, bomb proof engine and the ability to be torque rolling and then nail the throttle bng the smoke on and dissappear up the vertical like a rat up a drain pipe.
After talking to many people the combo I settled for was a WH Ultimate with a Zenoah G62 with metl geraed srvos all rear mounted, smoke oil tank on the CoG.
Many will reccomnd the DA etc becuase they are light and powerful for a 50cc but they are still 50cc. AND a DA with the muffler, header battery etc isnt that much lighter. If you pit a DA in it and mount all your servos at the rear where they should be for short slopfree linkages you might end up putting lead in the nose and what is the point in that????!!!!!
In addition the DA is twice the price of the Zenoah over here (UK).
Two of your countrys phrses spring to mind - thres no substitute for cubic inches - and Go Figure!
