I just received my semi-kit. It is not even in the ARC form, just the fuselage, sheeted wings, elevators, and rudder, and minor parts. Something that struck me is the lack of carbon fiber / kevlar / other exotic fibers. My plane is 100% fiberglass, even the firewall is glassed balsa (my Eclipse had a carbon fiber firewall) Plane will powered by a Webra 1.60. Futaba servos for the surfaces (9550 ailerons, 9651 elevator, 9450 rudder) plus a Hitec 81 for throttle (no fancy MC carb here...)

I am thinking of getting rid of the pipe floor (again glassed balsa). Do you guys think the exposed pipe will transmit too much heat to the inside of the plane?
