Default RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Hey Guys, we had a constant 18mph wind today but I took her up anyways for the maiden flight. All I can say is.."Wow". This little plane is great. You guys had me thinking too much with this CG and stuff. I gave the Saito about 1/3 throttle and it was off the ground in like 5 feet. Understanding there was a significant headwind. I was very surprised and impressed at how stable the plane was in the wind. Even flying crosswind, I experienced almost no tipping of the wings or erratic behaviour. The plane seemed oblivious to the wind for the most part. On my second pass around the field. I did a couple of axial rolls. They were so easy and I used no elevator input. I did some more passes around the field and then tried slow speed passes a couple of feet off the ground. Give it a little gas, and it rips right back into the sky. Later I tried inverted flight which only took the slightest hint of elevator input. I didn't get too agressive as I was using low throws but the engine would pull this plane vertical without any hesitation.

I'm sorry to disappoint but I didn't lauch the Twist out of my hand today. Not yet...mwahahah. The only thing I experienced was a little bit of floating when trying to land. Pretty understandable with the wind conditions but she stayed in one piece with no damage through 4 flights. I can't wait to fly this bird again next weekend.
