The name of the plane is the "Typhoon 3D". It is an all inclusive package that has plane, motor and radio. This is pretty standard in the park flyer group, BUT THIS RADIO IS ON 72mhz. That's our controled frquency range, we have flying fields for planes using this frequency range. My concern and I think it must be the AMA's is that these "park flyers" are going to be sold to non AMAers who will fly them anywhere just as they do the real 'park elyers' that are on 27mhz. I think that you and the AMA need to get to the Horizon people and have them recall these packages before they get widely sold and all hope of controlling this situation is lost.

We (you) have duty to us to protect our frequencies and make our sport/hobby as safe and as much fun as possible, well when these are across the street on a 72mhz channel and some 35 pound 1/4 scale plane goes 'crazy' and hurts someone who are they coming after, the club who is insured by the AMA.

I am in agreement with you..
But as you must know the use of this 72 mc band is JUST as legal as their use on 27 mc.
It is You and Horizon who are on the front lines that must educate the buyers in their proper use... ( as you must do in many other things ie, CA glue, Lipo Batteries and lots more)
I am forwarding this to the POWERS at AMA in Muncie,IN.
As in all things modeling the end user MUST be informed and educated...
Even the BEST frequency control sysyem at any model field must have willing and educated users..
