A good way to get hooked and possibly not spend a lot of time or money is to go to a local field and spend a little time with the folks just BS'n and seeing what's going on. You may even get lucky and find someone that will put you up on a buddy box for an introduction flight. I do it every now and then.
The good thing about doing this is that you will also see what the local club is using for radio's , planes etc. and possibly meet someone that will help you get started.
When you go to the field be a little agressive and find out what you want to know, don't be a pain in the ----- just a bit agressive. Take your time and get as much info as you can. ENJOY !!! RED
