I think hobby shops shouldn't sell any R/C planes or equipment to anyone unless they can produce a current AMA card and also sign an agreement to maintain the affiliation in the future.
You know maybe we shouldn't sell R/C stuff unless people have State farm insurance, or unless that are wearing tennis shoes. You know tennis shoes are safer at a field then boots, or maybe to not to anyone who is a member of AAA because they may be confused with AMA.
AMA is not the government, it is not a license, it is not regulatory! A hobby show would do good to hand out education literature but if he is going to stop selling to people he may as well close up the shop and move to China!
