Default Looking for a ARF electric float plane

Hello all!

I have been flying glow and gas planes for a bit as well as experimenting with electrics. I've played with lipo batteries and have a few foamies that my 6 year old use for his training and my 3D.

What I am looking for is a quick to assemble (5-10 hours) foamie or balsa/monocote plane that we can take down to our 2 acre pond and have fun with. I have looked at adding floats to my GWS tigermoth, but they are way too heavy. I am also not looking to convert a traditional plane like a Great Planes J-3 Cub to electric and spend $600+ doing it. I am looking for a plane/ARF that I can drop a receiver and battery in and start to have fun with off of my pond. I am not against bashing or fabricating a few parts with balsa, glass, and epoxy but I would like to see a finished product that has worked well for others. I have tried Hobby Lobby and didn't find too much that caught my eye.

Can you all give some websites, products and info to help a guy find a nice electric float plane?

Larry
