I use "standard size" Eurokit trike retracts in my curare (made in italy and around £95 for the stearable trike set in the UK) . These are air up/spring down. I fitted the air tank in the top of the fusalage behind the cockpit. I beefed up the legs to 5mm as the original 4mm legs kept getting bent.
