I just saw your post for the first time. Having one of the W/H Giles, I've found that a safe c/g is at the center of the wing tube. It lands a little fast forward of the tube. If you think about balancing aft of the tube center be real careful with the control travels. They start out more effective than average and become extremely effective aft of wing tube center.
