HI TOM
COULD YOU TELL ME THE BEST BALANCE POINT FOR THE GILES I NO LONGER HAVE THE BOOK AFTER A CRASH DO TO PILOT ERROR I PUT ALUMINUM LANDING GEAR ON INSTEAD OF THE CARBON FIBER I ORIGANALY HAD THE PLANE SEEMS NOSE HEAVY IN INVERTED FLIGHT NEEDS ALOT OF DOWN ELEVATOR BUT IT IS ALSO VERY SNAPPY I HAVE IT BALANCED ABOUT A 1/4 INCH IN FRONT OF THE WING TUBE THANKS IN ADVANCE MIKE

The balance should be at the front of the wing tube to start, but since you are already flying it adjust it to where you like it. Make small changes so you can tell when you are getting too far back before you actually get there.

My Feedback: (1)
I just saw your post for the first time. Having one of the W/H Giles, I've found that a safe c/g is at the center of the wing tube. It lands a little fast forward of the tube. If you think about balancing aft of the tube center be real careful with the control travels. They start out more effective than average and become extremely effective aft of wing tube center.
