Not many flying days left...
For those of us in the midwest and northeast, not too many good flying days are left!!! Instead of cutting grass and doing a list what the house gestapo gives me, I headed out to the club's field. Man that 1.5 mile drive is gonna kill me!!! LOL!!!! Took a couple of planes that I had just repaired, one being a space walker 2 and the other, a sig kougar. The space walker last flew a few weeks ago at another club. I'm coming in on final setting up for landing. Seen this tree. "man, that SOB is awfully close"!!!! CRUNCH!!! Wing ripped off from the wing saddle mount and busted up some of the wood. I have since repaired it using some fiberglas cloth and 30 minute epoxy. The kougar, all it needed was a new plastic arm that moves the front landing gear. The old one just was too brittle
and broke. Got to field and fueled up. Another member (Jeff) showed up with his featherlite trailer hauling 5 largish planes. One of which is his new baby, a 120 sized Cessna Skylane w/saito 1.80 in it. Man what a beauty!!! We got some good stick time in!!!
I like my kougar. $20 plane I got off ebay complete with the servos. I have an Evo .46 on it. Its a blast to just yank and crank it because if you toast it, you don't care all that much. Everyone should have a 'beater' in their fleet!! Heres some pics.....
