I also have the H9 Edge 540 and it does the Elevator and Harrier excellent. The difference between the elevator and the harrier is the throttle position. I also use the 3/16 inch spoileron in my plane to help tame the wing wobble and it works well. The only way spoileron is going to cause you to go into an elevator from a harrier is if you have too much programmed in! You also suppose to turn it on before the maneuver not during it. One of my favorite manuevers is to slow down to 1/4 throttle and slam the plane in a wall and then execute a single or double waterfall and comeout into a torque roll. Looks sweet.
