most saws that are labeled "craftsman"are really made by poulan.I know this has already been said, however, I converting sears new 55cc craftsman saw and the engine looks nothing like any poulan 46 etc...it has all the features we all want...carb that dosent require any special mounting techniqes, coil mounted to the cyl. so you dont have to run electronic ignition if you dont want and mounting "beams" already cast into the crakcase ....with mounting holes already there!so my question is....who makes this engine for sears?? oh , also the instruction manual has a complete engine break down and you can order ANY part you may need, piston, rings, cyl..etc..etc
