RE: KMP B-25 CONSTRUCTION.
Hey guys further to my last post, the new "Heavy Duty retracts" (The gold cylinder ones) supplied with the B25 failed after a dozen flights, the problem is with the plastic bushes on the push rod mechanism, they crack and brake away causing the gear to collapse. Fortunately this occured whilst taxying to the strip and not on landing so no damage was done to the model other than some heckling from the crowd of "single engine fliers"
I have had over 30 flights on my old B25 with the Blue retracts with no issues at all and thought the new larger units would be better however this is not the case, BTW all landings have been very gentle as no oleo leg bending has occured.
