mine comes in under 16oz's, very light. and yes you could fly this one indoors very easily. this plane has a very wide flight envelope. and you are correct the spectrum is only for park flyers right now, which is why they were using the eflite edge 540, but have not heard about the eflite servos though.

as far as the battery goes, with a TP 1320, my plane balanced perfectly at the suggested battery placement in the nose of the plane with the ESC. try the himax, it should work fine, but if not the eflite 400 should be alright. remember, this plane is pretty light, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with any brushless in a gearbox as long as it isn't a really tiny one.

i also left the wheel pants and the other red pieces for the landing gear to reduce drag. it also adds 5 hp... just kidding
