Heven't seen any of the 2006 stuff; I'm not an IMAC member yet and cannot access that information. I would hope it doesn't change drastically.
But I'll tell you this; prepare to enter a whole new world. This stuff is far from easy. The manuevers themselves aren't too involved; its tying them all together properly that is the trick. I was playing around with the 2005 Basic sequence yesterday with the Sukhoi; reading the descriptions and judging guide, then flying it. Man...
Download everything off the IMAC site and study it. Things will go easier, I think, if you have a buddy. Mine couldn't make it yesterday.
Personally, I just want to give this a try. I have no illusions (nor desires) about winning, etc. But I certainly do not want to embarass myself. What I'm telling you is, don't expect to putz around with this in a haphazard manner, show up at a contest, and do well. This is going to take some concentrated effort to even APPEAR to be competent.
Of course, that is part of the allure. I've been boring holes in the sky for almost 20 years. Its time to try a bit of structured play time...
