I wouldn't trust pinstriping to hold the canopy in place. Best is a complete bead of RC-56 around the canopy, then PVC tape (in the proper color) around the entire edge after the glue dries. Screws are okay but not necessary. You can substitute pinstripe tape or MK trim for PVC tape on the Tiger since all the canopy edges are straight lines (MK trim doesn't go around corners), however MK trim won't fit over the lip of the canopy well.

Like Minn said, this works best on fresh Monokote. Alcohol, a good degreaser, and plenty of clean rags will be needed at this point to remove all traces of an oil film. The covering (and canopy) needs to be "squeaky" clean.
