John all of the sims are good for beginners, you just have to decide which features are important for you. They all have photoreal fields (and all can import new fields). The big decision is wether or not you want the ability to add on extra planes for free or be able to fly with others online. Reflex and Aerofly allow you to download hundreds of planes (and helis) for free while G3 does not. G3 has online multiplayer while Reflex and Aerofly do not.
