RE: CG range for Tiger 2?
Interesting thread, considering that I flew one of these for the first time today.
I was standing next to one of the club's oldtimers when he took off with his just-built Tiger 2. As soon as it got airborne I could tell he was in big trouble. Somehow he got a little altitude and then it started diving. He quickly handed the radio to me, and said, "Here kid (I'm 58), can you save this?" Somehow I got it back on the ground in one piece.
He swears that he has the CG at 4" and, since he's built 98 kits (two for me), I'm sure that's exactly where the CG is. Engine looks like a Saito 56 - 65 but I was shaking too much to ask him.
I dunno. Did Goldberg get the CG wrong?
