Only with the aircraft as a whole! That was really the whole inovation behind a MG firing through the propeller arc. For the first time all a pilot had to do was point his aircraft at the enemy and fire. Of course the gun mounts did allow precision adjustments to the sighting of the guns on the ground. I believe this was accomplished with screw like devices that would raise of lower the gun.
