Default RE: Your flight skill

Fifon,

I got a blade CP about 3 weeks ago. Kind of a fluke really. A friend had gotten one & wanted me to help him set it up (something wasn't right on it). I told him I really didn't know really anything about heli's but I'd give it a shot (I'd only flown planks up to this point). I had only flown heli's on this sim a few times & wasn't really interested in them. I thought they just looked boring in the air compared to 3D planes. He said not to worry about crashing, because everyone who had flown it had crashed it. I checked it out, found the problem, & proceded to hover it. Hovered tail in fine & I was HOOKED! I went to the LHS & purchased one immediately! After the second day on it I was flying figure 8's. I believe flying 3D planes has helped immensely. That & a little time on the sim. The simulator is your best friend when it comes to these things. I don't mean for this to sound like I've got it all together or anything. Just to encourage you that, it can come faster than you expect. Bdavidson is a great example of that too. I can't wait to get to where he is. I just ordered a Trex 450SE today, so I'll have something I can grow into. It sounds like you're doing pretty good to me, and going about learning the right way too.

Happy Flying!

Bdavidson, A video would be awesome! I'd like to see you wringing out that Trex!
