Default In case you missed it.....

Awrighty then, Hideho all

The first flight lasted about 3 mins when the horiz stab broke in flight and was left hanging while I fought it back to terra firma..thank gawd there are two elev servos. Damage was minimal, and with one phone call to Horizon, (Shane) the fuse and tail feathers and cowl were shipped here in a few days. (Thanks Horizon)

So, a few days later I'm ready for another maiden...OS 91 Surpass and APC 14X4W...right off the boards straight and true...1 click aileron...talk about honest flyers...man O man...Knife E loops...3 in a row...and whatinthehell is it called when you go to KE, on the 45 up line slam the sticks it the upper left corners and the fuse rotates around the wings...a Pinwheel?
No, it was more like Flip flop round and round on it's AXIS kind of a figuer 8 only stationary..... Did that and it held it's altitude for 10 very long seconds...I always wanted to do that , I just didn't have a plane that was capapable, nor have I seen this manouver before.

Had so much fun I dead sticked (uhh, fuel, stupid) and found out that my CG was spot on as it floated and floated hands off....gotta love it. Flies extreemly light..on the sticks..but nice.
Hover was just a pop up, and bamm, right into a sustained hover...as with others, I need to get some more right thrust to hands off hover...but I didn't mind, it recovers real easy when it falls out of hover...hard to keep it at half throttle to keep it from climing...91 0r 100 4 stroke is a perfect match..Perhaps the Saito 72 would be ideal I'm thinkin'.

Harrier has a wee bit of wing rock, but not much really. I gotta tell you this plane is very well thought out, design wise. KE at 1/2 throttle, both ways and still climbs if you want it to. At $155.00 (list) someones asleep at the wheel or the manafactures are finally giving us exactly what we want in an affordable DO IT ALL
3D plane. Did consecutive rolls while dead sticked all the way to 6 feet off the ground, felt so comfortable. The only miss is I need to get some white on the bottom to differentiate up from down at distance.
As of yesterday it became my favorite plane I've ever had/have.
Gotta have an Ultra Stick (have all three) gotta have a 'Munk in the hangar, and now I need to get a few more of these as back up. I paid $130.00 at the RC expo, and by far is the best value I've ever had. Heck, it's a steal at $155.00 MAP after flying it like I did yesterday.

All control surfaces come installed, hinged and pinned. Canopy and pilot (w/lipstick?) installed. (Pilot swapped for Homer) It has a Extra type fuse, Cap tail feathers and a funfly wing. Again very smart design, best of all worlds IMNSHO. I added a remote glow igniter and fuel dot, and 440 rods, other wise it's box stock. I did the 4 stroke linkage thing but I still need to work on a smoother/less sloppy throttle....

Yesterdays update:

I'm thinkin of swapping the OS 91 for my 72 and tossing the 91 in the WM Chipmunk I have STILL NIB.....I'm almost finished w/ the Giles 3D (4.8 lbs w/ Saito 50) and I need to get the US 120 back up w/ YS 120AC I just picked up in Puyallip...then there is the US 60 that's just begging for the sweet running MDS 68.....Of course I've been putting off the Midwest Super Stearman that's RTF when I get the engine mount for the Tecno power 7 cyl....Ahhh, life is good!

Ok, so today was at the club where I show'd off the Razzle for the first time...I guess I get to name the new maneuver because no one at the club has ever seen it before...KE from L to R on the 45 upline...both sticks in the top right corners and the plane rotates/flips about the fuse and wing, very quickly....and holds alt...thousand one...ect to thou 10 before it sinks.... I outta get commission because I let a couple of guys fly it and their hot footing down to the LHS or Quantum to order theirs tomorrow. Absolutely stunned 'em. Did a KE pass from L to R and at the end went from KE one way up to KE from R to L without a turnaround. Harrier'd it into the wind down the runway at a snails pace...

What a Hoot!
Call Chief AC in Oregon John and see if they'll still sell you for the show price of $139.00...worth a call to find out.

OK, final words...get one.
