I could see on mine stab was very weak so i knew it would break if i didnt do something,, you are right wires dont work due to horz. and vert. location,, so heres a great way and works great
get a small peice of streamline tubing,, flatten i it out in center which will fit on bottom of fuse in line where you want it on stabs,, you will have to glue a thin peice of ply on botton to screw the tube to. then angle up to stabs,, bend and drill ends and screw to stabs,, what you have is a strut,, solid as a rock and much easier than a wire deal.. and since its not flexible you only need on bottom since verticle is fine,, this is a quick solution and takes only a hour to do.
