I've always thought,
"If I can take it apart--and not break or damage it--then I can put it back together and it should work."
I really can't see why you would need a new carb just because you took it apart. Seems silly. If it worked before--and you just took it apart to clean it out. Then you should be able to re-assemble it without screwing it up. Right?
Maybe just the OS way of trying to get $100 out of you?
Are there a bunch of tiny springs or gears inside that need to be timed or placed back with a set of gauges or calipers? Is it
THAT complicated? Pop-off valves inside that have to be set--just right?
I've never seen one apart--but it can't be that complicated or critical?
Shoot!! Slap it on a test stand and give it a flip. See what happens.
