Some of you may have been following the landing gear saga that I had on my CMPro Super Chipmunk .40 ARF that I got through Jet-Hobbies.com -- (
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_34...tm.htm#3497302). Many provided helpful suggestions and I was able to reenforce the landing gear without incident.
By reading these threads it's clear that we all modify or strengthen our ARFs (firewall, glue here, glue there) from time-to-time.
It was suggested to me by Forestroke to contact the distributor (Jet-Hobbies) to see if they'd be willing to do something about the landing gear problem in the wing, so reluctantly I did not expecting too much for a $130.00 ARF.
What I got in return was nothing short of exceptional customer support from the guys at Jet-Hobbies. Not only did they provide immediate response to my email, they contacted their manufacturer with a full description of the problem, provided feedback from the manufacturer as to future modifications on their kits to mitigate further problems, and made me whole by providing another ARF to my satisfaction. They were empathetic and apologetic to the problem I was dealing with. I certainly wasn't expecting all of this but am glad to see that the guys at Jet-Hobbies really care about their customers.
I HIGHLY recommend you at least look at these guys when thinking about another ARF purchase in the future (
http://www.jet-hobbies.com/). At least they stand behind their products AND customers.
