I saw this Micro Plane last week at the Toronto (Ontario Canada) Hobby show, it was quite the little performer.
Weighing in at 3.6 grams it can fly for some 10 minutes on a fresh battery and yes it is an indoor plane! Keep your cat and grandchildren away from it, or you will not be happy with the results! [:@]
As to the value for the dollar question - that is always a matter of opinion. There might be $ .02 worth of wood and another .02 of covering in the plane. [X(]
However the rest of the value is in the electronics package, the micro receiver, micro motor, battery pack, transmitter, charger etc. All of which can be used in other "MICRO AC" which you can buy from the same company (look out it's a set up!

This price is for a Ready to Fly package - is it inexpensive? Nope. [&o]
It's just another area of the hobby that is under development, some folks will like it and some folks will hate it.
It's just a matter of opinion.
