I saw this Micro Plane last week at the Toronto (Ontario Canada) Hobby show, it was quite the little performer.
Weighing in at 3.6 grams it can fly for some 10 minutes on a fresh battery and yes it is an indoor plane! Keep your cat and grandchildren away from it, or you will not be happy with the results! [:@]
As to the value for the dollar question - that is always a matter of opinion. There might be $ .02 worth of wood and another .02 of covering in the plane. [X(]
However the rest of the value is in the electronics package, the micro receiver, micro motor, battery pack, transmitter, charger etc. All of which can be used in other "MICRO AC" which you can buy from the same company (look out it's a set up!
)
This price is for a Ready to Fly package - is it inexpensive? Nope. [&o]
It's just another area of the hobby that is under development, some folks will like it and some folks will hate it.

Yes, I have one, it is indeed very small. The plane itself is 2 channel, the radio has four channel capability. I suppose the main question is: How does it fly? The answer is that it flies very well for its size. Once it starts turning, it has a very good radius, and the motor has good control over its flight without porpoiseing. With rudder only, turning is a little slow, but since it's top speed it less than a mild jog, and its lowest speed is about sub walking speed, it still can fly in an average living room. Outside it'll fly as long as there is absolutely no wind. As you'd expect, even with the mildest of breezes you'll be fighting with it. However, flying in an auditorium, it would really come into its own. You'd have the room of flying in an open area, and no wind. It is suprisingly durable, as flying in a living room requires, the propeller will go off, as will the battery in some cases, and if it is a very serious crash, the tail beam may break. In all likelyhood, you are more apt to crush it than crash it
. Overall, it is such an amazing little plane it is probably worth it. So, if you want a very unique, enjoyable plane, and have some exta money, buy it.

But, if they come out with a nice flying Mosquito I might change my mind. I'll power it with a 39 cent fly swatter or a good can of 15% bug spray.
Your gonna get awful hot next summer flying it in your apartment. Turn the fan on and it'll blow away.
Boy! They'll sell anything to make a buck nowadays.
