Default RE: Bvm Bobcat Composite

reason i wont put a titan is because of its very non linear thrust curve ... most of the power kicks in at the top end ..My last BobCat had a speedlimiter set to 196 MPH. On the planes first flight my top recorded speed was 199 and an averale of 186 ( tht includes takeoff, aproach, and landing .. ) I never came off of full, and the P120 kept the plane at the desired speed through full elevator turns, snap rolls, rillong circles, continuous and tight figure 8s, etc ... A titan would not have given me anything more in terms of performance. Now if i was goign for top speed, yea, im sure it would be advantageous , but the airframe is not designed for that .. BVM markets this plane to take a beating of Gs within the 200 MPH range, and it takes it very well ... I don't need to go faster on this plane ( my p180 powered Raptor will be my speed deamon )

As a side note I lost my last BobCat by stalling it on take off.. I held brakes untill the engine was at full and wheels were starting to skid on the grass, i let go of brakes, and the plane rotated around 50 feet later, ..I pulled to go to vertical too early ,and airbraked the plane to a stall at no mor than 50' altitude ... the plane was lost, but all equipment and landing gear survived ..

the picture of the blue/yellow one is the one that i lost ... and here is a preview of the one which i hope to have flying again on the p120 in another 2 - 3 weeks ..
