That looks like an old Jerobee car, as far as I know it was the first 1/2A r/c car commercially available. I think they came out in about 1972 or therabouts. They offered two versions, a two channel with steering and throttle and a lower cost single channel that linked steering and throttle so it slowed down when you turned the wheels.
The body is a McLaren.
