You mean the glue Goop? Almost all glues fully cure in around a few hours. If it ate through the styrofoam, then carve a piece from the same material (there are different types of styrofoam) and then use either tack glue to glue it on or a low temperature hot glue gun (both of these should be available by Woodland Scenics, in the model railroad section of your hobby shop).
