More seriously, who's going to teach you to fly the plane? If you're concerned about cost, you really do need to get an instructor. If your $200 investment is ruined in its first moments of flight, you've just wasted your money. Will you have enough to purchase another plane after that?
AMA provides you with insurance if you follow their safety code. I'm guessing you're under 18, so you'd be able to use the junior rate. If you happen to have an accident damaging property or person, you'll need the insurance. Model airplanes in parks draw kids, who don't realize that they can get in the way. Accidents do happen.
